Why Mount A? Mount A was the right choice for me
based on a few key reasons. Firstly, the small size of the university
provides a warm community feel and a unique classroom experience
where students and professors interact closely. Secondly, there is
a buzz and sense of energy around student involvement and there are
many opportunities to try new things or bring something new and creative
to the campus. Finally, the town of Sackville is a wonderful place,
full of wonderful people, with a huge variety of things to offer
for growth, fun and entertainment.
Favorite Mount A memory? Snow day shenanigans in
my first year or many a live performance by fabulous musicians that
pay us a visit.
What is your favorite place on campus? The
Swan Pond.
Which superpower do you think would be most helpful to have
at Mount A? The ability to stop time or be in several places
at once — there is so much I would like to do and only four
years to get it all done!
Knowing you can do anything, what would you like to do? Become
the director-general of the WHO, work for or create a humanitarian
medical relief organization and overall be a part of ensuring equal
healthcare worldwide so that individuals can reach their full potential,
enjoying the good things life has to offer.
Who do you respect most? Those who are truly selfless.
What accomplishments are you most proud of? Helping
to establish a Global Medical Brigades group on campus and my summer
internship with MSF.
How did you spend your summer vacation? My summer
vacation was spent in Toronto working as an Intern for Médecins
Sans Frontières/ Doctors Without Borders (MSF)
What qualities do you most admire in someone? Honesty
and compassion
If you could tell one thing to everyone, what would it be? Take
action, stand up for what you believe in and never ever give up.
What do you like most about Mount Allison? The people
and the energy.
What do you want to tell prospective Mount A Students?
If you are interested in Mount A, come for a visit to see and feel
what the school has to offer. If you are looking for a tight knit
community, a fantastic learning experience and to grow and develop
in a meaningful way as an individual, Mount Allison has all it takes
to make that happen.
